SUBJECT: Award Opportunities for Chemical Engineering Seniors Being
Graduated in 2005.
The Chemical Engineering Achievement Award
Description: Presented to the Chemical Engineering Senior who has achieved
superior scholastic achievement (top 10% of graduating ChE seniors)
with demonstrated contribution to the Chemical Engineering Program,
University, or community.
Criteria: Have an institutional cumulative GPA that is in the top 10%
of the graduating ChE seniors. For the year 2005 award, the minimum
institutional cumulative GPA for eligible students is 3.80.
Have demonstrated contributions to the ChE Program, AIChE, University,
or community.
Eligible students wishing to apply must submit an application letter
along with a current resume to the Chemistry and Chemical Engineering
Department secretary. The letter and resume should provide evidence
of service contribution.
Student will graduate in the current calendar year.
Letters of support may also be submitted.
Deadline: All application materials must be submitted to the Chemistry
and Chemical Engineering Department secretary by 4:00 pm on 26 January
2005.
Award: $500.
Sponsor: Chemical Engineering Program Foundation Funds (ChE Alumni contributions).
Presentation: Spring Semester Honors Day.
The Chemical Engineering Faculty Award
Description: Presented to the Chemical Engineering Senior who has demonstrated
leadership ability and has made positive contributions to the Chemical
Engineering Program, AIChE, the University, or the community.
Criteria: Demonstrated leadership, contributions to the ChE Program,
AIChE involvement, University/community involvement, and/or professional
experience (coop, research, internship, etc.)
Eligible students wishing to apply must submit an application letter
along with a current resume to the Chemistry and Chemical Engineering
Department secretary. The letter and resume should provide evidence
of leadership and service contribution.
Letters of support from peers may also be submitted.
